What health improvements have resulted from your weight loss?
I have more energy—I can exert myself, and I can breathe better. Before my weight loss, I was ALWAYS HOT and uncomfortable. Now, I actually get cold...and I like the sun!

What motivated you to begin the Lean for Life program?
I was motivated by the fact that Lindora knew about insulin resistance. My goal was to get to 170 pounds—I’ve reached 180 and am using maintenance and exercise to slowly get down to my goal.

A swimming suit — and tank tops.

What’s the greatest compliment you’ve received about your weight loss success, and who said it?
The compliments that most affect me are about how happy I am now. But twice I’ve had people look right through me and not recognize me.

What else has changed in your life as a result of losing weight?
I have hope. I make plans. I look ahead. I don’t have an excuse to not live.
